Ave

My Monday group welcomed a new model today.

This was the first time Ave, a practising Buddhist, has modelled for anyone. It made for a very serene day.

Here's one of my sketches, Ave in profile (charcoal and chalk on tinted paper, 40.5 cm by 32.5 cm).

Here's Ave again. It was hard to reproduce her purple hair. Pencil, charcoal, chalk, conte crayon and gouache on cartridge paper, 41.5 cm by 29.5 cm.
