Sketching at the National Portrait Gallery

This week my Portrait and Life Drawing Workgroup ventured to the NPG to sketch. I had a look in at this year's National Photographic Portrait Prize.

NPG rules allowed us to bring pencils no darker than a 2B.

Here's some sketches reacting to a couple of the photographic portraits that caught my eye.

All pencil on cartridge paper, 21cm by 15cm.

These are after Bahram Mia's "MELA".

and some more, these are after Adam Ferguson "UKRZALIZNYTSIA (UKRAINIAN RAILWAYS) EMPLOYEE, SUMY OBLAST, UKRAINE, MAY 2022"
